The landmarks, in order

1. Palais des Congrès de Cotonou

   

   A white building with round, drum-shaped towers open at the top.

2. Place de l'Amazone

   

   A giant bronze statue of a woman warrior holding a rifle and a blade (30 m high).

3. Palais de la Marina

   

   A modern beige building with long bands of blue glass windows.

4. Primogaz

   

   Fuel station

5. Centre de Promotion de l'Artisanat

6. Église Saint-Michel

   

   A pale pink front with a large white cross at the top and a round window.

The route step by step

1. Leave through the red-and-white barrier into the paved street, towards Boulevard de la Marina. Drive 100 m.
2. Take the first right (Boulevard de la Marina). Drive 1.5 km, past Palais des Congrès de Cotonou, then Place de l'Amazone, then Palais de la Marina.
3. Take the 3rd left (Boulevard Saint-Michel). Drive 3.1 km, past the Primogaz station, then Centre de Promotion de l'Artisanat, then Église Saint-Michel.
4. Arrival: Marché Dantokpa, across the road, on your left: park and cross on foot.

Boulevard Saint-Michel, north of the metal footbridge: the market stalls start at the roadside.
