Terms of use

Ceety Boy (ceetyboy.com and the app) is free for personal use: find a place, see the route, share it.

What is not allowed

• Copying Ceety Boy's pages, place pages, photos or routes in bulk, by a program (bot, scraper) or by hand, to republish them, sell them or build another database.
• Reusing our texts, photos, routes or directions on another site, app or product without our written consent.
• Getting around the site's technical limits (number of requests, access to data files).

What stays free

Sharing the link to a page or a route and sending it to people you know. OpenStreetMap data stays under its licence (ODbL) and every photo under the licence shown with it: see Credits and contact.

What your searches tell us, and what we do with it

When you use Ceety Boy we record what you ask the service for, without your name or number: the places you search for or open, the routes you ask for (the destination when it is a public place on our map, and the neighbourhood nearest the start, never your exact location), the buttons you tap (call, WhatsApp, “Go with …”, share), the language, country and device type, with the date and time. We use no advertising cookie and no IP address for this. If you answer “How much did you pay?”, we keep the means of transport, the amount, day or night, the route's neighbourhoods and distance, for 24 months, and we publish the prices people paid per distance only once at least 20 people have answered.

We use it to improve the service (add places people look for and cannot find, choose landmarks and photos), to tell businesses how many people looked for the way to them, and to make overall figures (e.g. “340 trips to Fidjrossè this week”) that we may share with partners: ride or delivery apps, businesses, local authorities. We never sell data that can identify you. The detail is deleted after 3 months; only weekly totals are kept, for 24 months. These data are hosted by Cloudflare, outside Benin. Write to contact@ceetyboy.com with any question or to object to this use. More: Privacy.

Accuracy

Routes and information are a guide only: check on the spot, a landmark can change. A mistake? Write to contact@ceetyboy.com.
