Privacy

Ceety Boy sells no data and sets no advertising cookie. Here, in plain words, is what we collect on ceetyboy.com and in the app (app.ceetyboy.com), why, and how long we keep it.

On the ceetyboy.com site

What is collectedWhyHow long
Clicks on some buttons (see the route, share, open the map, switch language, scan a QR code) and pages not found: the button name, the page, the language, the country and the device type (phone, tablet, computer). To know which pages are useful and which to fix.3 months (Cloudflare's limit).

We store no IP address, identifier or cookie for these numbers. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, sees each visitor's IP address to send them the pages, like any host.

In the app

What is collectedWhyHow long
“Use my location”: your location, only if you tap the button and allow it.To start from where you are.Nothing: it is worked out on your phone; the location is neither stored nor sent to Ceety Boy.
Test build only: anonymous technical numbers (load time, frames per second, freezes, trips started and finished, errors, phone and browser type, language, screen size). A random number made at each launch links the numbers of one session. To make the app faster and fix what breaks.3 months (Cloudflare's limit).
On your device: the language you chose, the music setting and your progress in the game.To keep them for next time.On your device, until you clear the site's data.

The test build sends no location, not even an approximate one, no place name you typed and no device identifier. If you search for a place that is not in our data, the name you typed is sent to OpenStreetMap's search service (Nominatim) to find it. The 3D view marked “Google” loads Google's imagery: Google then sees your IP address and the map area shown.

The “Join” form (businesses)

What is collectedWhyHow long
Business name and category, Google Maps link or Plus Code, area and landmark, WhatsApp number, photo or logo, your name, the boxes you ticked and the time sent.To create and check your business page; to contact you about that page; to send you our news only if you ticked the optional box.No page made: 12 months after sending. Page made: as long as the page exists, then 12 months. Proof of your consent: 3 years.

Your name and number are not published without your separate agreement. The form is hosted by Tally (Belgium); the copy at Tally is deleted within 30 days of being imported.

Partners

A partner page is published only with the partner's written consent. It stays online while the consent stands, and we keep that consent for 3 years as proof. If the consent is withdrawn, the page is removed.

Place pages

Place pages are about places, not people: name, type, position and route, from OpenStreetMap or the owner. No personal phone number is published without the person's consent. Details on the Sources and method page.

Who else sees this data

We do not sell or hand over any data. Our technical providers are outside Benin: Cloudflare (hosting and statistics), Tally (form), Google (3D view), Meta (WhatsApp, for messages), GitHub (storage of our files), and Anthropic (software assistant that helps us process the answers).

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its processing (Benin Digital Code, Law No. 2017-20). Write to contact@ceetyboy.com, or reply STOP on WhatsApp to stop receiving messages. You can also complain to Benin's data protection authority (APDP, apdp.bj).
